About Us

My name is Heather and I have been the help meet to my wonderful husband, Len, for 20 years. Our children are Hope (18), Lenny (14), Lily (9), Wren (Born to heaven, 10/02), Mary (Born to heaven, 9/03), Lucy (Born to heaven, Early '04), and Peter (5). Five doggies round out our happy brood.

I said “Yes”

As a mom there are so many occasions to say "No" to my children – NO television, NO candy, NO, NO, NO.  But tonight I said "yes" and was blessed.  It was a simple "yes" that involved playing a quick game of HORSE at our basketball hoop in the dark on a warm night but it was a "yes" that was rewarded by many smiles, much laughter (I have a pathetic lay-up – especially in a skirt), and warm memories.  Tonight I thank the Lord for reminding me to say "yes" more often and to treasure these few short years that my babies are at home and truly mine.

  • We are always so richly rewarded when we do the most for our children! Beautiful!

  • I am fond of “Horse”. We just got a basketball hoop last week. Now my boys want to play all the time. In fact, one of them is out there now so I will get off the computer and go play! :)

I am a new reader to your blog, equally pathetic at layups and am also a skirt wearer!
