As a mom there are so many occasions to say "No" to my children – NO television, NO candy, NO, NO, NO. But tonight I said "yes" and was blessed. It was a simple "yes" that involved playing a quick game of HORSE at our basketball hoop in the dark on a warm night but it was a "yes" that was rewarded by many smiles, much laughter (I have a pathetic lay-up – especially in a skirt), and warm memories. Tonight I thank the Lord for reminding me to say "yes" more often and to treasure these few short years that my babies are at home and truly mine.

I am fond of “Horse”. We just got a basketball hoop last week. Now my boys want to play all the time. In fact, one of them is out there now so I will get off the computer and go play!
