My Favorite Day of the Month

In our parish the first Friday of the month is the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Having been raised as a Presbyterian, I was raised to believe that communion was just a symbol of the body and blood of Jesus. When I became a Catholic over 8 years ago, I basically continued in that belief. However, about three months ago at the urging of my friend I decided to spend an hour at the Adoration. Well I will never again doubt that the Eucharist contains the “Real Presence” of Jesus. The experience was so powerful. So now the first Friday of the month has truly become my favorite day of the month!!!
