Today my three oldest children performed in our parish’s Christmas Tableau / Nativity play. Hope was the head angel who gets to place “Baby Jesus” in the manger, Lenny was Joseph, and Lily was a sheep (“baa, baa”). Peter provided the background noise as he ran around the back of the lower church. The tableau was performed this year after 10 am mass and after sitting through mass, he had no interest in being confined or quiet!!! LOL This play is definitely one of the highlights of my children’s Advent / Christmas season. Hope was thrilled to be able to participate since she thought she had aged out. Lily was initially underwhelmed with her part but came to embrace her sheepdom. Lenny’s main tasks were to keep “Mary” from walking down the aisle at lightning speed and to make sure “Baby Jesus”’s pacifier didn’t fall out!!! As always, it was a thrill to see my children embrace being part of our church and of this sweet little production.

They really look angelic, no one would know all the work that Mom put in!
My girls participated in a childrens’ version of the Way of the Cross for 3 Lents, and when they saw “The Passion” they were amazingly well versed in the Passion, comparing their performance with Mel Gibson’s direction!
