For Christmas this year, our main gift to our children was a schedule of day trips for the year – one a month. These trips include the Bronx Zoo, the Statue of Liberty, Dave & Buster’s, the beach, etc. Well today we delivered the first installment of this gift – a trip to the NY Botanical Gardens to see their annual train show.
After standing on a line for over an hour we saw a wonderful miniature re-creation of NYC with model trains running through it.
There were bridges over head for the trains to run on as well.
My favorite displays were St. Patrick’s Cathedral,
and the New York Public Library.
Unfortunately PPeter(2) has a bit of a cold so we left him at home with my parents which was really a blessing in disguise given the long wait to see the train show. We finished off our trip with a walk through "Gingerbread Adventures" and the grounds.
What a great start to our extended present!!!

What beautiful pictures! Looks like it was a great trip!
