Well the children and I are up in Vermont at the summer home of my parents. (My diligent husband is home slaving over the house – sanding and staining the hardwood floors, painting, etc. – all those things more easily completed without the children and I around) They have a house on a lake in Central Vermont which is our home away from home. My paternal grandparents bought the place before I was born. I have pictures of my children from over the years on the screened-in porch. In fact, this is the very same porch on which my parents took pictures of me forty years ago. I’ll have to dig out those pictures for a post when I get home (I’ll have to write that idea in my new journal which was the inspiration of Dawn from By Sun and Candlelight). This is a place of continuity for me. This is a place of reflection and planning. This is a place of beauty. This is a place I love…
