My name is Heather and I have been the help meet to my wonderful husband, Len, for 22 years. Our children are Hope (19), Lenny (15), Lily (11), Wren (Born to heaven, 10/02), Mary (Born to heaven, 9/03), Lucy (Born to heaven, Early '04), and Peter (6). Six doggies round out our happy brood. |
Over the last several years, my husband and children have enjoyed “raising” butterflies. They bring either larval eggs or the actual larvae into our observation tank. We have raised both Monarch and Black Swallowtail butterflies. (You can click on the pictures to get a larger view.) Here are some Black Swallowtail [...] Before I had my children, I was one of those arrogant teachers who thought she knew exactly what to do with children and would gladly offer you advice to help with your out of control kiddies. Well 15 year of parenting has knocked me down to size to say the least. My favorite saying is [...] Upon returning from my weekly shopping trip to Costco, I was greeted at the car by my oldest daughter, Hope — also known as “babysitter extraordinaire”!!! She was stressed to say the least. Peter had gotten into the jelly and had decorated some of Lenny’s school books which had mysteriously escaped from their appointed place. [...] [...] As I’ve posted before, the first Friday of the month is one of my most favorite day’s of the month because of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at my parish. Over the last few months, with vacations, etc. I have been unable to attend. What a blessing it was to be in the presence [...] Today marks the 4th anniversary of our daughter Mary’s being “born into heaven”. On September 9, 2003, Mary died in my womb at 36 1/2 weeks gestation. I delivered my wee little girl on September 10th, weighing in at about 4 1/2 lbs. We don’t really know what happened but a possible “umbilical cord accident” [...] |
