My name is Heather and I have been the help meet to my wonderful husband, Len, for 22 years. Our children are Hope (19), Lenny (15), Lily (11), Wren (Born to heaven, 10/02), Mary (Born to heaven, 9/03), Lucy (Born to heaven, Early '04), and Peter (6). Six doggies round out our happy brood. |
The children and I are headed away on a roadtrip tomorrow a.m. We are off to visit Julie in beautiful Wisconsin. Please pray for travel mercies. Hubby will mind the homefront and our tribe of doggies!!! Just returned from seeing “Bella”. It is truly a must see for teens on up!!! Please [...] Well I dusted off my sewing machine which has seen little more than mending lately. And boy, did I have fun with this cute skirt that I made for Lily. I read about it on Michele Quigley’s sewing forum called “On Pins & Needles”. The tutorial on Grand Revival made it quite [...] Well you’ll have to be a die-hard SciFi fan to appreciate this story. My husband loves “Doctor Who” and his favorite Doctor Who (there have been many over the last 40 years) is Tom Baker. Recently he borrowed “The Genesis of the Daleks” with Tom Baker from the library. It is from [...] Peter found a comfy spot to rest at the end of a hard day – DADDY!!! Well today Lily had her second “lesson” on her bike without training wheels. It was a complete success!!! I practically had a coronary trying to keep up with her as she pedalled first with me and then alone. She was so happy and so was I!!! Sometimes you take a crash on [...] I got a real thrill out of discovering through my site referrals that someone on a Swedish site linked to my blog. I have not a clue what was said about me (the Swedish to English translators I found online weren’t great) but I got a kick out of it anyway. Perhaps they [...] Don’t know how well this anecdote will translate into words but I thought I’d try to share it anyway… While picking up the house with the children this morning, my son Lenny (11) started complaining about his lot in life or something to that effect. Usually this gives me fits but as I determined at morning [...] Today my wonderful mother joined the seventies club (shush…don’t tell the neighbors!!!) and my terrific father turned 71 several weeks ago. They really are great people and I don’t think I thank them enough for all they have done for me and continue to do for me.
