We have been very busy over the last month or so. My sweet 16 year old daughter, Hope, was the costume seamstress and left stage manager for the home-school production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. She is very talented and I am quite the proud mama. You can check out pictures at Alice Gunther and MacBeth Derham’s blogs.

Hi Heather,
I just thought I’d stop by your blog, as I haven’t been here in awhile. Did your kids like Twelfth Night? My kids loved it, especially my 15 YO.
We will be taking them to A Midsummer’s Nights Dream in a couple weeks, at the Shakespearian Festival nearby. I plan to read the play to them before we go. I can’t believe my kids are actually enjoying studying this. I hated it in high school. I don’t think I ever understood a single word. We just must be better teachers. LOL.
Blessings,
Amy B.

Amy:
Thanks for your comments!!! They loved 12th Night (especially my 16 year old) - it is really very funny!!! Midsummer’s NIght Dream is a great play as well.
Like yourself, I don’t remember liking Shakespeare in HS, so I guess I’ll blame it on the teachers as well!!! LOL
Blessings,
Heather
