As I ponder the fate of our nation, on this Election Day morning, I am tempted to feel afraid. It’s quite depressing to see people abandoning all that is Godly and moral. This is really nothing new as many are more concerned about the lives of endangered animals than they are of unborn children. A win for Senator Obama today would be a confirmation of what many of us already fear – that America has completely turned its back on God. But as I consider this and hold back the tears, I am reassured because truly God is in control. Romans 8:28 tells us that “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” This is the promise that I cling to and am grateful for today. Regardless of the outcome of this election, God is in control and wants what is best for me. Thank you Jesus!!!

Praise God that He is on His throne and sees all!
I have had a feeling of sadness all day today. I waited in line for an hour to cast my vote for McCain/Palin — I want to do more, to pray more for a change of each person’s heart. As long as people reject Christ (and His Church), they will stray and we see such hideous things as animal rights above protecting the unborn….thank you for sharing your feelings. your sister in Christ, Sara
You are RIGHT!! God is in control…no matter what!
Just a note of encouragrment!!! Go is in control and always will be. We as christians have a hope that non-christians cannot even comprehend. My prayer is that God will bring this country to it’s knees where it’s people can/will finally realize that it’s not all about money, finances, what can I get and who owes me something, it’s about living a Godly life and carrying that godliness thru our everyday life.
God bless America and shed his grace upon us!!!
