The Story of a DIVA, Otherwise Known as my First Half-Marathon

Well today I ran my first half marathon.  Believe it or not, it was the Run Like A Diva Half-Marathon.  For those of you who know me in real life, you know that I am not really the Diva type.  However, I will admit to enjoying watching the ladies running in their tutus and fancy [...]

‘Tis the Season of Coveting

Lately my four year old Peter has taken up a new hobby – catalog coveting.  With the Christmas season nearly upon us (at least for the retailers), he can be often found sitting in a chair “reading” a Lego or toy catalog uttering phrases akin to “Can you get me this for my birthday?”  or “Can [...]

I Wish I Had a Picture

Well I am posting this from beautiful Vermont.  The children and I are visiting my parents at their home on Lake Dunmore.  It was a beautiful day today and we had a great day down at the ”beach”.  Some friends mentioned that they were going to go to the “jumping off rock” and invited us to [...]

While struggling to get his to fly, [...]

Out of the Mouth of Babes

Well the children and I are back in Vermont visiting my parents.  Last night we went out to dinner and on the car ride home, I asked my mom to be sure that Peter (3 1/2) didn’t fall asleep, as I was driving.

So she diligently kept him awake by asking him questions.  She started with the [...]

Even The Car Didn’t Want To Leave

Yesterday morning we were all set to leave from our Vermont paradise at Lake Dunmore.  We had kissed my parents good-bye, packed ALL OUR STUFF into my husband’s Expedition, complete with two carriers (one on top and one on the hitch), and stuffed two adults, four children, and five dogs into their assigned places.  And wouldn’t [...]
